Terms and Cancellation Policy
These terms apply to all tours booked through Trip Port Co., Ltd. Please read them before booking.
1
Scope
These Terms and Cancellation Policy ("Terms") apply to every tour booking made with Trip Port Co., Ltd. ("Trip Port", "we", "us") through tripport.jp or any booking link we provide. By completing a booking, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party.
2
Booking & Payment
Bookings are paid by credit card through Stripe, our payment processor, and are charged in Japanese yen (JPY). Your card issuer may apply its own conversion rate and fees if your card is issued in another currency. Once payment is successful, your booking is confirmed by email together with a unique booking number, which you should keep for your records.
3
Prices
All prices are shown per person and include Japanese consumption tax. The price shown on the tour page and booking page at the time of booking is the price you pay; there are no hidden or additional fees.
4
Cancellation & Changes
You may cancel or change your tour date and time free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour's start time. To do so, reply to your booking confirmation email with your booking number.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time are not eligible for a refund. This includes no-shows and guests who arrive after the guide's 15-minute wait at the meeting point, both of which are treated as a cancellation within 24 hours.
5
Weather
In the case of severe weather or other conditions that make a tour unsafe to run, Trip Port may cancel the tour. If we cancel for this reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to another available date, whichever you prefer.
6
Changes by Trip Port
Occasionally we may need to change a guide, meeting point, start time, or itinerary detail for operational reasons. Where a change is significant, we will notify you by email in advance and, if the new arrangement does not work for you, offer a full refund or rescheduling.
7
Participant Responsibilities
- Arrive at the meeting point on time; guides wait no more than 15 minutes after the start time.
- Follow your guide's safety instructions at all times during the tour.
- Participants must be at least 20 years old, Japan's legal drinking age, to consume alcohol on bar and nightlife tours.
- Riding tours (cycling and e-bike) require participants to be able to ride a bicycle safely and unassisted.
8
Liability
Trip Port takes reasonable care in selecting guides and planning each tour, but tours involve normal activity in public spaces, including walking and, on some tours, cycling or riding. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own belongings, health, and conduct. Trip Port is not liable for loss, injury, or expense arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as weather, traffic, or third-party venues. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Japanese law.
9
Privacy
The contact details you provide when booking — name, email, phone number, and any special requests — are used only to confirm, run, and communicate with you about your booking. We do not sell your information to third parties.
